Delivering Top-Shelf Cybersecurity for MSPs

Our name is derived from the distillate that comes off a whiskey still, known as “white dog.” Just as a master distiller meticulously selects each ingredient to create a whiskey of exceptional quality, WhiteDog brings the same level of precision and expertise to cybersecurity.

Our mission

WhiteDog's mission is to accelerate and simplify MSPs’ ability to deliver an uncompromising security posture to their customers.

Our Origin Story

In the late 1990s, our founder, Shahin Pirooz, pioneered the concept of the managed service provider (MSP). As a seasoned leader in security and IT, he recognized that the growing complexities, escalating costs, and intense resource demands of managing IT ecosystems were diverting businesses from their core missions. He was convinced there was a better way.

As the CTO at CenterBeam, often credited as the first MSP, Shahin transformed how businesses accessed IT services, making it possible to simply consume them. During these early days, delivering security services was relatively straightforward—a few tools sufficed to defend against less sophisticated attacks.

Fast forward to today, and the landscape has dramatically changed. Threats now emerge from every direction; adversaries constantly evolve their tactics, while technology advances to keep pace. MSPs find themselves in a relentless game of leapfrog, continuously cycling through tools because what’s best-in-class today can become inadequate tomorrow.

With nearly 4,000 vendors, and a frustrating maze of subscription models, evaluating security tools has become a full-time, cyclical job: vet, replace, repeat. The cost and complexity of building and maintaining a security practice in-house have become untenable, distracting MSPs from what they do best—serving their customers.

WhiteDog was founded to revolutionize cybersecurity for MSPs. Drawing from his deep experience as a security practitioner who helped shape the MSP industry, Shahin is championing a new approach. It’s time to extend the managed services model to security.

With WhiteDog, MSPs simply consume a single, evergreen solution—backed by 24x7 security operations. This allows you to immediately expand your security portfolio, help your customers cost-effectively mature their security posture, and gain a partner who not only understands your business but also cares about securing your customers as much as you do.

Our Approach to Cybersecurity

In today's threat environment, where organizations face 50/50 odds of experiencing an attack, relying on a single or disparate tools to safeguard your customers' data isn't enough. A comprehensive, layered defense strategy is essential.

By leveraging WhiteDog's advanced security framework, you can significantly enhance the protection you provide to your clients, ensuring they remain safe in an increasingly unpredictable cyber threat landscape.

  • Deliver a Unified, Layered Defense: Secure your customers with a comprehensive layered defense. Multiple specialized tools at each security layer ensure a swift response that’s tuned for each type of attack.
  • Achieve 24x7 Security Operations: Your customers benefit from expert eyes on glass, actively threat hunting and ready to respond. This human component is vital to quickly sniff out and eradicate bad actors and minimize damage.
  • Provide Continuous Incident Response: When a breach happens, every minute matters. Continuous incident response is included as part of the service. No extra fees or retainers.
  • Reduce Nefarious Dwell Time: Reduce the amount of time an adversary has in your customer’s environment. While the industry average for nefarious dwell time is 6 months, on average, you'll reduce that time down to 6 minutes.
  • Ensure Continuous Penetration Testing: Breach and attack simulation and security control validation allows you and your customers to understand their business risk. Pen testing once a year, once a quarter, isn’t enough—it must be continuous.

One Unified Security Platform

With WhiteDog, MSPs can break free from the conventional tool mindset and consume one comprehensive cybersecurity platform—backed by 24x7 security operations.

WhiteDog’s enterprise security stack is pre-configured, ready to deploy, and designed to scale. Our composable platform is fully integrated and combines the strengths of 40 commercial technologies and 10 open-source tools. We keep up with security trends, ensuring the unified blend adapts to evolving threats.

MSPs can take a complete security portfolio to market, under their own brand, in 30-days. And we’ve simplified customer management, too. Our white-labeled customer portal is designed specifically to meet the needs of MSPs.

What’s more, our platform isn’t all or nothing. It’s designed with flexibility in mind. Our modular approach allows you to select the solutions you need to close gaps in your current security stack. We’ll help you integrate and optimize your existing tools, ensuring a cohesive security posture that grows with your business.

Why MSPs Choose WhiteDog

Our MSP partners gain on-demand expertise, a complete portfolio of white-labeled security services, and a partner with a shared goal—to secure their customers. That, plus, our flexible approach allows MSPs to build trust, strengthen their reputation as cybersecurity experts, and meet their customers where they are, enabling growth, expansion, and change over time.  We’d like to have your back, too. Let’s solve your customers’ security issues—right now. All our solutions are backed by a 30-day onboarding guarantee.

Cheers to a more secure future!
