Delivering Top-Shelf Cybersecurity

Our name is derived from the distillate that comes off a whiskey still, known as “white dog.” Just as a master distiller meticulously selects each ingredient to create a whiskey of exceptional quality, WhiteDog brings the same level of precision and expertise to cybersecurity.

Our mission

WhiteDog’s mission is to help accelerate the security posture of every business—making enterprise-grade protection simple, scalable, and seamless.

Our Origin Story

In the late 1990s, our founder, Shahin Pirooz, helped pioneer the managed services industry, reshaping how businesses consumed IT. As CTO at CenterBeam—widely recognized as the first MSP—he made it possible for companies to offload IT complexity and focus on what they do best. Back then, delivering security was relatively simple: a few well-placed tools provided sufficient defense.

But the world has changed.

Today, threats emerge from every direction. Attackers constantly evolve their tactics, while security teams scramble to keep pace. The market is flooded with nearly 4,000 security vendors, each promising the latest breakthrough. Evaluating, integrating, and maintaining the right mix of tools has become an endless, expensive cycle.

Companies know they can’t keep up on their own, and they’re turning to trusted partners for solutions. But many of these partners are trapped in the same cycle: lacking deep security expertise, facing the high cost and time commitment of building a security practice, and fearing they’ll lose customers to more capable providers.

WhiteDog was founded to break this cycle. Shahin recognized that security, like IT before it, needed a new approach—one that strips away complexity while delivering an uncompromising defense. It’s time to extend the “as-a-service” model to security.

With WhiteDog, partners get an evergreen security solution backed by 24x7 security operations. No more tools sprawl. No more vetting, replacing, and retooling. Just expert-driven protection that allows you to focus on what matters: securing customers, growing your business, and staying ahead of the threats that never stop.

A Unified Approach to Security-as-a-Service

With WhiteDog, partners deliver an integrated, best-in-class cybersecurity platform—curated by us and backed by 24/7 security operations, including continuous incident response.

Director of Operations

Joe knows managed services. And that’s a good thing, since he leads Technical Operations WhiteDog, ensuring that both our Partners and their end customers receive the level of service and support they require to keep them safe.

His operational expertise has been honed over the course of three decades and many global leadership roles—building, scaling and supporting technical operations. In his words, “making sure the service delivery experience we sold is what the customer is getting day in and day out.” He expertly manages the people, process and tech necessary in order to keep clients secure. And his favorite part of his job? The people. Active problem solving for clients to help keep them safe; and serving as a mentor for the next generation of tech leaders.

His firsts include being on the development and support team of the industry’s first managed services provider, CenterBeam, as well as Counterpane, the pioneer of the managed security services space. So when we say Joe knows Security, we aren’t barking in the wind.

Joe refined his ability to “scale” early on with his twins. He is an avid cyclist and the founding member of B³—Bourbon, Brews and Bikes. Because those go well together.
